A well-known Tunisian influencer who has over a million followers on social media has died while in Malta.

Sources told the Times of Malta that 36-year-old Farah Zoubeida El Kadhi, better known as Farah Balqadi, died at Mater Dei Hospital on Monday morning.

She was rushed to hospital after suffering from a heart attack, and passed away at around 6:30am.

She was apparently in Malta on vacation, but was also promoting some companies while in the country and shared Instagram stories as recently as 8pm on Sunday evening onboard a boat.

Sources told the Times that Balqadi had no visible signs of injury but an autopsy would be carried out and a magisterial inquiry has also been launched.

Balqadi listed her profession as being an architect, and had 1.1 million followers on Instagram.  She frequently promoted fashion brands through her social media account.
