Labour Party MEP candidate Steve Ellul has been named as the new CEO of Infrastructure Malta, replacing Ivan Falzon who has resigned, the government announced Monday.

Ellul’s appointment with a government entity had been widely expected after he failed to be elected in the EP election, having previously resigned from CEO of Project Green to go on the election campaign trail.

Ellul is a financial analyst and a lecturer at the University of Malta. He worked at Bank of Valletta for a time before joining Project Green.
