A 68-year old man was injured in a two-car collision in Triq il-Ferrovija, Santa Venera.

The police were informed of the accident at around 11:30am on Monday.

The accident involved a Kia Picanto which was being driven by the 68-year old man from Birkirkara and a Vauxhall Insigna which was being driven by a 53-year old man from Zebbug.

A parked Mazda vehicle also suffered some damages in the accident.

The 68-year old man was given medical assistance and was taken to Mater Dei Hospital in an ambulance where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
