A biker was taken to hospital on Monday morning following a collision with a car in Hamrun, the police said.

The biker, aged 38, of Valletta, was involved in a crash with a Volkswagen driven by a 45-year-old woman of Kalkara.

The accident took place in Qormi Road at 10.30am.

Transport Malta officers were on site to help alleviate the traffic flow as buses could not be driven through the road until the vehicles were cleared.
