A man was arrested by the police on Tuesday evening after an anonymous tip alerted officers to drug trafficking in St Paul's Bay.
The man, aged 31 from Libya, and a resident in St Paul's Bay, was arrested at around 8.30pm after the police received a tip that drugs were being trafficked in Triq it-Tamar.
Officers who went on site saw the man trying to leave the area but he was arrested soon afterwards.
The police found, on his person, several sachets containing cocaine, cannabis and MDMA, as well as cash.
A search in his residence yielded more sachets containing the same type of drugs. Four mobile phones were found hidden at the back of a television set.
Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici is leading an inquiry.
