The annual Christmas in the Park organised by the Environment Ministry has returned to the Salini National Park.
The third edition of Christmas in the Park was officially launched by the Environment Minister Miriam Dalli, during which the Salini Park was transformed into a magical Christmas Village, bringing people closer to nature whilst enjoying a magical festive atmosphere.
"While our commitment towards environmental protection is all year round, the festive season can be a great opportunity to rethink our daily habits and be more conscious about their impacts on the environment. Public events such as Christmas in the Park bring citizens together to enjoy our open spaces whilst learning more about sustainability. For this reason, we invite families to join us at Salini National Park to explore how to make wiser and more sustainable whilst enjoying time with our loved ones," said Minister Miriam Dalli during the opening.
Visitors and children can play games, meet Santa Claus, experience virtual reality, savour traditional Christmas food and drinks, and enjoy other festive and live entertainment.
An area in the park has been transformed into the Enchanted Forest, with various lighting effects where families can walk and admire environmentally-themed characters and structures.
This year's event promises a sustainable experience for the entire family, with various entities like Saving Our Blue, Sustainable Development Directorate, Ambjent Malta, Environment and Resources Authority (ERA), Circular Economy Malta, Energy and Water Agency, Project Green, Wasteserv and Water Services Corporation ensuring an environmentally and sustainably conscious celebration with informative stalls.
