Dr Clarence Pace has been appointed as Chief Government Medical Officer within the Ministry for Health and Active Ageing.
A government statement said that Health and Active Aging Minister Jo Etienne Abela congratulated Pace on his new appointment as within the Ministry.
Pace, a consultant maxillofacial and head and neck surgeon, has served as Director General of Healthcare Services at the Ministry for the past nine years.
Pace holds dual undergraduate qualifications in Medicine (2005) and Dentistry (1999) from the University of Malta. He later pursued his surgical training in the United Kingdom.
Minister Abela also expressed gratitude to Dr. Walter Busuttil for his work in recent years and extended his best wishes to Pace in his new role.
