The March edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking sees Brazil hold on to the top spot with a healthy advantage of more than 50 points over their nearest challengers, France and Argentina.
There are few changes of note in the tightly-packed echelons of the top 20, but the USA managed to climb one place to join Italy in 10th place.
Uruguay (15th, up three) also gained ground thanks to the devaluation of past results, which sees Turkey, Germany and Denmark all slip down the pecking order.
Malta in 137th place
Malta dropped a further place in the Ranking List published yesterday by FIFA.
It is now occupying 137th place, along with Tajikistan.
