Malta Independent Tuesday, 8 October 2013, 15:01 Last update: about 11 years ago

SmartCity Malta is continuing its collaboration with the Foundation for Human Resources Development (FHRD) by being the special supporter of the FHRD Annual Conference & Expo taking place next Friday, 11th October at the Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC).

The title for this year’s event is ‘Maintaining Sustainable Results: Adaptability – Agility – Competence’, which follows up last’s year theme, where over 350 professionals were present during the conference. This year, the organisers have been working even harder to make this conference an even better one.

Speaking about the event, the CEO of SmartCity Malta, Anthony Tabone said, “This conference is in line with SmartCity Malta’s objective of creating a real knowledge hub where local and international education & training organisations, research institutions, recruiting and other HR consultancies, will operate in synergy with the core knowledge-based businesses, thereby creating a whole network of opportunities.”

“Global College Malta is one of the institutions SmartCity Malta already welcomed on board in support of this concept. We also strongly believe in facilitating the continuous professional development of human resources in line with the ever changing needs of the industry. To this end, we provide fully-equipped facilities for workshops, seminars, conferences and various other networking events. These are available to both our business partners and outside organisations,” Mr Tabone continued.

Through a dedicated stand and a special presentation to be delivered in the Speaker’s Pjazza during the lunch networking time, SmartCity Malta will be providing full details on its new and modern ‘Work, Learn, Play’ facilities. Participants will be given the opportunity to get updated on the project and its recent developments, including 4 new blocks and a large outdoor leisure area, all nestled within a networked, safe and secure space for all employees, students and visitors at SmartCity Malta to enjoy.

If you would like to attend the Conference, please contact FHRD on [email protected] or 21 378 895.
