Dr Chris Said, mayor of Nadur, decided not to contest the European Parliamentary elections in the best interest of Gozo.

He believes that the only way Gozo could be represented in the European Parliament is to have one Gozitan candidate, supported by the biggest possible number of Gozitans.

Dr Said believes that, at the moment, he has more important work to do in Gozo – both as mayor of Nadur and in his involvement in Gozo-politics.

Finally, Dr Said said he would like to thank the administration of the Nationalist Party for showing faith in his capabilities.
