The accused, who is not being named because he is a minor, pleaded guilty to stealing more than Lm1,000 worth of rabbits from a farm in the tal-Hatab area of Qormi on 10 March.
The court, presided over by Magistrate Miriam Hayman, sentenced him to a two-year jail term, suspended for four years.
