In a press statement, the movement said this contrasts with the Labour Party, where two general conferences to choose candidates did not produce even one woman.
The MNPN said that both Joanna Drake and Roberta Tedesco Triccas are fully conversant with the European future and will prove their capabilities if they are elected to represent the country.
The movement also said that with these two women, Malta would have an important female voice in the highest European institution to add to the voice that the two female ministers and one parliamentary secretary already have in the cabinet.
