The group noted with satisfaction that this legislature will include three front benchers – Giovanna Debono, Dolores Cristina and Helen D’Amato – and said it hoped their work will strengthen the implementation of gender mainstreaming in all government work for the benefit of all members of society.

Moreover, they may also serve as role models for other women who aspire to hold positions in decision-making, particularly in the political sphere, together with the female members on the opposition side of parliament – Helena Dalli, Marie-Louise Coleiro and Justyne Caruana – who also give their contribution as spokesmen.
