BJ’s owner Philip Fenech said the week-long charity event will begin at 5pm today. “Ludvic and Julie will give a performance to start off this year’s non-stop music show,” he said. Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech will be present for the start of the marathon.

Mr Fenech said that over the past 15 years, the music marathon has raised over Lm90,000 for various charities. “This year, as for the past three years, donations will be made to Wishing Others Well (WOW) – the social arm of the Millennium Chapel in Paceville,” he said.

Mr Fenech said that although there will be a programme of events, it will not be rigid and there will be times when the floor will be open to any musicians who want to take part. The marathon runs for a week and will end on Monday 19 April.
