The elderly community of Swieqi was given the chance to meet the group at an event organised at the Hilton Hotel.

Rural Affairs and Environment Minister George Pullicino, Taormina mayor Aurelio Turiano and Swieqi mayor Paul Abela all gave speeches during the course of the evening.

A group from Malta will be going to Taormina for a reciprocal visit later this year.
