Drivers Seriously injured in two separate accidents

In the first accident, a 28-year-old man from Swieqi was reported to have suffered serious injuries when the Peugeot 106 he was driving was involved in a collision with a Toyota Land cruiser.

The accident happened at 9pm in Fortress Street, Mosta. Members of the police Civil Protection Unit were called out to help release the man from his car. The driver of the Toyota was unhurt.

In the second accident, a 59-year-old man from Birkirkara, who was driving an Opel Astra in Valley Road, Birkirkara, lost control of the vehicle and was involved in an accident with an Isuzu Gemini driven by a 33-year-old man from Qormi.

A 26-year-old woman and three children aged nine, six and two were also in the Isuzu. The Isuzu driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to St Luke’s Hospital. The woman and the two older children were slightly hurt.
