Speaking at the signing of this agreement, Mr Falzon said: “The Cooperatives Board aims to promote a cooperative and social spirit among the Maltese business community and Startup Malta has offered us the opportunity of reaching directly a number of young people who will be tomorrow’s business leaders. The Cooperatives Board is committed to supporting activities and organisations that undertake to actively promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and creative thinking on the Maltese Islands.”

Mr Muscat said: “It is a great pleasure to welcome the Cooperatives Board as one of our partners and supporters for our initiatives. I am sure that the Cooperatives Board, with its diversified and proactive approach to business, will help us achieve our chief mission, which is to bridge the gap between students and entrepreneurs, thus becoming an excellent networking platform where young people can meet business people and potential employers.”

Through its activities, Startup Malta manages to combine education and entrepreneurship in an informal, pleasant setting that does not resemble that of traditional learning institutions.
