Malta Independent Thursday, 29 April 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 23 years ago

Through its international department, the Malta Labour Party and four other organisations presented this project to the EU for partial financing. As a result, 70 per cent of the air fares and accommodation and food will be paid by the EU, an MLP statement said.

The participants were chosen by MLP international secretary Joe Mifsud. Two of the 12 are Gozitan, and five of them are women. In all, 56 young people from Holland, France, Portugal and Italy will be taking part.

The young people will also be taking part in celebrations to be held in Koninginnenacht tomorrow and in Dodenherdenking on 1 May. They will also be visiting the Dutch Parliament at The Hague and the house of Anne Frank, a young Nazi war victim, famous for her diaries.
