Labour MP Marie Louise Coleiro explained that is useless and unfair for a worker to put in all his hard work only to die or be seriously injured on the job.

She appealed to employees to safeguard their health and to employers to do all they can to make sure the work place is safe. Ms Coleiro also urged trade unions to continue raising awareness on this important issue.

The Labour MP concluded by saying that the government should ensure that all laws and regulations within the occupational health sector are implemented.
