Four of the men aged between 22 and 24, from Tarxien, Zejtun, Rabat and Luqa, were arrested in a club in Paceville after 112 ecstasy pills and two bags of cocaine were found in their possession. The drugs were intended for sale during a party.

Later in the evening, police also arrested a 24-year-old man from Pieta’ when he was found smoking cannabis.

All are expected to be charged in court shortly.

Duty Magistrate Michael Mallia has appointed several experts to assist him in his investigations.

Police inquiries are being conducted by Inspectors Norbert Ciappara and Josric Mifsud from the Drug Squad.
