After arresting four people on Friday, the police continued their investigations and arrested a 24-year-old man after he was found in possession of a number of ecstasy pills.

Further investigations led the police to discover 55 more ecstasy pills allegedly belonging to the same man who had been arrested.

In a separate raid in Bugibba, a 29-year-old Libyan man was arrested after he was caught red-handed smoking a cannabis joint.

During the same raid, the police also arrested a 17-year-old from Zabbar who was found in possession of 12 ecstasy pills.

All men are being held by police for further investigations and are expected to be charged in court in the coming days.

Duty magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna was informed about the case and he appointed several court experts to assist him in the inquiry.

Police inspector Norbert Ciappara and other members of the Drug Squad are investigating.
