Then a few years ago, Carol Calleja had dinner at Mr Fumia’s restaurant in Marina di Ragusa and a close friendship developed between the two.

Mr Fumia is now renting Carol Calleja’s Roof Garden Restaurant on top of the Sliema multi-storey car park, and if the quality of the food to be served in Malta reflects the quality of his cuisine in Ragusa, he will undoubtedly join the list of successful fish restaurants already open on the island.

The restaurant is called Fumia Restaurant and was opened last night.

Parking for diners is complimentary.
