Angelo Abela, 32, from Zabbar, pleaded not guilty to assaulting and slightly injuring the warden, Joseph Gauci Borda, at around midday on Saturday. He was also charged with causing Lm1,500 damage to the warden’s hand-held computer.
Abela was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,500.
Inspector Anthony Cassar prosecuted while Dr Martin Fenech appeared for the defendant.
