Malta Independent Thursday, 5 August 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

HSBC’s Zurrieq branch manager Carmen Busuttil, who presented the sponsorship to event coordinator Anton D’Amato, said: “This is an excellent initiative by a group of young people from Zurrieq who have given up so much of their summer to prepare for this event. On behalf of HSBC, I would encourage everyone to come and lend their support and to help Life Cycle and the Daughters of the Scared Heart.”

The HSBC 50-hour football marathon will also include entertainment for all those who attend. The event is expected to come end on Sunday 8 August at 9pm.

Donations of Lm1, Lm3 and Lm5 can be sent via SMS on 5061-7362, 5061-8917 and 5061-9207 respectively.

“This event is one to which the people of Zurrieq look forward every year. With HSBC’s help we are certain that this year’s football marathon will be an even greater attraction. This will certainly help us in achieving our aim of raising mores funds for Life Cycle and the Daughters of the Scared Heart,” said Mr D’Amato.
