The marathon, which starts at 10am, will be transmitted live on Channel 30 and on RTK radio, while part of it will be broadcast on NET TV and Super 1 TV.

This is the second time the Edenfest has been held. Last year, Lm35,000 was collected in 12 hours of fund-raising activities.

The Eden Foundation needs Lm2,000 a day to run its operations, with part of the funds being received from the government and from parents’ contributions. The foundation at present employs 71 full-time and 80 part-time staff to cater for 350 people in need.

Fabrizio Faniello and Ira Losco will be among those taking part in the event, while several other personalities will man the 50 telephone lines that will be open for donations.
