Malta Independent Wednesday, 29 September 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 15 years ago

As part of the World Tourism Day activities, Valletta Waterfront organised a spectacular In Guardia parade and also provided passengers of the cruise liners Marco Polo and Sun Bird with a selection of Maltese refreshments.

“Valletta Waterfront is looking forward with optimism to 2005 when the first phase of the project will be completed in June, providing a unique centre of culture and leisure for both cruise liner passengers and the Maltese public.

“Valletta Waterfront firmly believes in Malta’s rich history and culture as the country’s main attractions to high quality foreign visitors. Today’s World Tourism Day activities gave Valletta Waterfront the opportunity to highlight these advantages to the 3,000 guests visiting us on the day,” said Mr Dirk Spiteri Lucas, Business Manager at Valletta Waterfront.
