I would like to express my disappointment after hearing Peppi Azzopardi say, during last Friday’s Xarabank programme, that only the SPCA will benefit from the percentage going to animal welfare NGOs from l-Istrina.

I expected the money to be shared by all animal associations, especially the ones that are run totally by volunteers, as they depend entirely on the generosity of animal lovers.

Therefore, my donation this year will be going directly to the association I deem fit to receive it.
