Christmas Spirit among youths

Malta Independent Monday, 10 January 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

I would like to express my opinion with regard to the fact that most people (middle-aged and elderly) think that today’s youngsters just celebrate Christmas by flocking on to the streets of Paceville and getting drunk.

From what we have seen this year, we can tell that this is not so. No

traffic incidents due to excessive drinking were reported on Christmas Eve nor on New Year’s Eve.

The Paceville church was full of youths for the midnight Mass. Teenagers could be seen going around the streets giving out Christmas cards with a biblical quote written inside them to help us understand the true meaning of Christmas, thus proving that the spiritual aspects of this holy day are still very much alive in us these days.

I would finally like to thank The Sense Group whose idea of choosing a leader to drive us safely home really seemed to have worked, Zghazagh Azzjoni Kattolika and last but not least the police, who work day and night for the betterment of us all.
