Trelleborg Group Donates Lm100,000 for relief after the tsunami in south east Asia

Trelleborg Group, a global organisation with over 40 sites worldwide, has donated over Lm100,000 as relief in Sri Lanka after tragedy struck South East Asia recently.

Trelleborg Group is based in Sweden and has operations in a number of the affected countries. It has been working to ensure that none of its employees are missing in the disaster.

Trelleborg Group has approximately 800 employees in Sri Lanka and while, fortunately, there has been no loss of life among its employees, many of them have been affected and some have lost their homes.

Since the disaster first struck, Trelleborg has focused its relief efforts in Sri Lanka. This has involved providing food, medicine and clothing to disaster victims.

Efforts to rebuild homes are also ongoing.

Lm100,000 have been allocated for relief to Sri Lanka. Moreover, donations have been forwarded to the aid agencies Save the Children and the Red Cross.

While Trelleborg Dowty Malta has contributed through the Trelleborg Group donation, employees are being encouraged to show solidarity and donate their contributions to the various local organisations helping in this cause.
