On behalf of the Union of Cabin Crew Committee and its members, I would like to thank Stewards Adrian Grech and Mark Gatt. They gave their time and energy to represent us all on the 30-hour journey from Malta to Colombo in aid of the survivors of the catastrophic disaster of Boxing Day in south east Asia.

Their experience and dedication proved invaluable in the organisation of the aircraft cabin prior to departure. They also helped in the unloading of the aircraft in Colombo and helped out wherever assistance was needed throughout the whole journey.

Thanks should also go to all those who immediately responded to our call for volunteers to accompany the flight to Sri Lanka on a voluntary basis.
