Snooker - Malta Cup: Stevens, Hendry, Higgins And Dott reach semi finals

John Higgins, Matthew Stevens, Graeme Dott, and Stephen Hendry had impresive wins in their quareter fianls of the Malta Cup being held at The Hilton conference centre, to reach the semi finals that will be held today.

All four semi finalists had a rather easy passage as they showed class in disposing of their opponents.

The dream of surprise Tom Ford was shattered by Stephen Hendry who dominated to win 5-1.

In the other match of the evening Matthew Stevens beat Alan McManus 5-2.

John Higgins had an impressive start against Australian Neil Robertson, making a 104 break, and winning the first frame 104-18.

In the second frame Higgins was again irresistible never giving Robertson a chance, potting a break of 93 to win 123-0. Robertson came back into the match winning the third frame 77-12, but Higgins re-established a two-frame lead before the break winning the fourth frame 88-34.

In the other match Scottish Grame Dott beat Englishman Steve Davis 5-1 to reach the last four.
