I expect, and probably also the people, that the minister should apologise about the shortage of liquid gas, not Enemalta. From Enemalta we expect that whoever is responsible will hand in his resignation.
First there was the wrong consignment of gas bottles which had to be sent back. Who is responsible for this wrong consignment? Somebody is; but, as in everything, nobody was found guilty.
Now we not only had the shortage of bottles but also shortage of liquid gas, and Enemalta had no gas available to fill the good cylinders.
This crisis was man-made. One had to see the hundreds of people queuing at Burmarrad for one gas cylinder to cook or to heat their home in this cold weather.
When are we going to have the least of accountability here in Malta? The person or persons who is/are responsible should at least be thaught a lesson.
The minister too should apologise to the people. And from now on he should carry the responsibility of knowing what his entities are doing. The people expect all this from whoever they elected to govern.
