So the government is taking a very severe and dim view of the lack of planning that led to last week´s gas shortages? Now, that should warm the hearts of those freezing in their homes.

I wonder what the government thinks of the gas supply shortages that regularly occur, obliging householders to chase delivery trucks through the streets?

Perhaps the government would care to tell us more clearly what it thinks of last week´s shortage, every week´s shortage, and the various shortages in, and shortcomings of, its various departments, as well as what it is going to do about it all. We would then have enough hot air to see us through several cold winters.

That would partly solve the gas supply problem, and the sundry gasbags could feel they´re doing something useful, rather than simply hinting darkly about holding “severe and dim” views.
