Reference is made to the article (TMID Saturday, 26 February) entitled UHM issues ultimatum to Local Councils Department indicating that a dispute has been registered between the Union Haddiema Maqughdin (UHM) together with the Local Councils Executive Secretaries Association (ASKLM) and the Department for Local Government on the collective agreement for the Local Council Executive Secretaries.

The Department for Local Government would like to clarify that no dispute exists between the said Department and the UHM and ASKLM, since the Department was never a party to the Collective Agreement.
