Malta Independent Thursday, 17 March 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Kellogg UK organised its annual commercial conference in Malta on 24 and 25 February. This conference was attended by over 250 foreign representatives from the business primarily from the sales and marketing sectors including attendees from Kellogg Headquarters in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA.

There were also participants from the human resources supply chain and finance.

The commercial conference reviewed the recent performance of the Kellogg business in UK compared with the other Kellogg companies around the world. The plans for the coming year were also reviewed and the key targets for 2005 were established.

This year’s guest speaker was a Canadian, Jamie Clarke, who has climbed five out of the top seven mountains in the world and gave an inspirational presentation.

“The conference was a great success and the location in Malta was great for everyone – we were made to feel very welcome and it is great to visit a market where our brands are as well known as they are in the UK,” said Alison Adderley, sales director for Kellogg UK.

The Kellogg Company is American owned with main divisions covering the USA, Canada, South and Central America, Asia and Europe.

The European headquarters are in Ireland, which along with the UK, has the highest per capita consumption of Kellogg products in the world.

Today, Kellogg Company produces more than 40 different cereals with plants in 19 countries, on six continents and markets its products in more than 160 countries.

The company employs 15,657 people in its worldwide organisation. In Malta, Kellogg’s is represented by Charles Darmanin & Co.
