I wish to take this opportunity to ask you the favour of sharing my great joy with all the dear readers of your newspaper to thank the Mission Fund from the bottom of my heart, for all the good work that it has carried out, and is still carrying out, in different parts of the world.
My name is Fr Emanuel Parnis and I belong to the Missionary Society of St Paul. At present I am working in Lima, Peru, where our congregation started its mission in 1968. I am in charge of a youth group that forms part of the Pontifical Mission and also the chaplain of a mental hospital.
Thank God that the Mission Fund is helping me to continue with my evangelisation programmes for so many young people in this big country and also to try and help so many mentally-ill people to have their safety guaranteed in a good and established hospital.
Trying to locate so many street mental patients is not that easy, especially to convince them to see some of the doctors at the hospital, but with the financial help that we are receiving from the Mission Fund – yes, it is possible, because God’s work cannot be hindered in any way.
I wish to emphasis that all possible donations, including used stamps and used telecards, should be sent to the Mission Fund so that their wonderful work and our good work can continue on its course with so much ease.
Thanks once again to you all and may God keep on blessing you for all that you are doing with us.
Praying for you always, your brother in Christ Jesus,
Fr Emanuel Parnis MSSP
