Two hundred BOV cardholders were lucky winners in the BOV ‘Spend and Win’ lottery. The 200 cardholders won twice the amount of one particular purchase for which they paid using any BOV Visa Card, MasterCard or Cashlink Card during the promotion period.

Each cardholder who effected a purchase with any BOV Visa Card, MasterCard or Cashlink Card between 25 November and 14 January was automatically eligible to participate in this lottery. The winners were eligible to win twice the amount of their transaction up to a maximum of Lm500.

Presenting the prizes to the winners, Raphael E. Vassallo, Executive Head Consumer Lending at Bank of Valletta explained that this lottery was intended to promote the use of BOV’s cards. “Our society is still highly dependent on cash and cheques. BOV Cards are a more secure, efficient and straightforward means of payment, both in Malta and abroad,” Mr. Vassallo said.

He added, “When you have your card in your wallet, you don’t have to carry cash that can be lost or stolen. If your credit card is lost or stolen, you can report the missing card to Bank of Valletta which will immediately stop accepting any charges on your card. Cards are also small and discreet and very convenient to carry.”
