A Last hurrah.

I regret to remark, that as a result of your drastic editing to my contribution, you seriously mitigated what I had to say on the issue. Unfortunately, your editing had made things even more serious for it rendered the last sentence in the third paragraph (as published) both senseless and out of context. One just cannot edit a sentence by simply publishing half of it. Isn’t it obvious that governments have to appointment personnel to sit on boards and commissions? It is the quality of the appointed people that matters.

If you felt so strongly about deleting that half of the sentence, you should have either eliminated the whole paragraph, as you did with the other three paragraphs, or, at least, strike out the whole sentence.
