The top seed in the ITF Under 18 world ranking tournament being held at the Marsa Sports Club, Bajoria of India, was eliminated from the semi-finals yesterday as he was defeated by Zlatanovic of Serbia, ranked 584 in the world,

6-3 6-2.

Zlatanovic appeared to be the stronger on the day as Bajoria failed to keep up the pace with his opponent.

The other finalist will be Briton Podlewski who beat Austria’s Linzer 6-1 3-6 6-1.

In the girls event, top seed Naomi Cavaday of Britain beat Hofmanova of Russia 6-3 6-3. In the final she will be meeting Kadur from Germany, who beat seed No. 2 Linhova from the Czech Republic 6-2 6-2.

All the finals, even the doubles are being played today, starting with the boys doubles at 9.30am followed by the girls singles.The girls doubles in scheduled for 2.30pm to be followed by the boys singles.
