Keeping up with their busy schedule, the BMX Association managed once again to organise a successful Easter competition which was sponsored by Eleganza Footwear.
This particular event consisted of a street competition as well as track racing. All age groups were packed with riders all eager to push themselves in order to claim a spot on the coveted podium.
The results were as follows:
7-10: 1st Jake Micallef; 10-13: 1st Leon Zammit; 13-16: 1st Nathan J. Mercieca; 16 over: 1st Julian Delia
As for the street competition, the riders are constantly attacking this section weekend after weekend broadening their horizons as well as creativity. Each event the gap between Group A and Group B is getting that little bit shorter with riders pushing their limits.
Group A was a very close call but Nick Farrugia took first place with Mark Filletti and Maurizio Abela Tabone runners up.
As for Group B, runners up were Luke Schembri and Mattia Busuttil who gave the winner, Anthony Borg, quite a hard time to earn his win and a place in Group A for the next competition.
After the events, a presentation was held where Ira Losco presented the trophies to the respective winners.
Ms Losco happened to be in the area at the time and kindly agreed to present the trophies to the winners.
The BMX Association thanked Eleganza Footwear for their support.
