Middlesea Group Employees obtain insurance diploma

Three members of staff of Middlesea Group were recently awarded the Applied Insurance Studies (AIS) Diploma during a graduation ceremony organised by the Malta International Training Centre (MITC).

The members of staff are Lucienne Cini of Middlesea Insurance plc and Jean Paul Callus and Robert Ellul Micallef of Middlesea Valletta Life.

Ms Cini is an executive in the Middlesea Insurance Claims Department, Mr Callus forms part of the Middlesea Valletta Life IT Department and Mr Ellul Micallef is an executive in the New Business Unit of Middlesea Valletta Life.

The AIS Diploma, which is equivalent to the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (UK) Diploma in Insurance, gives students an in-depth knowledge of various insurance subjects, including insurance practice and insurance principles, legal aspects of insurance, property insurance, pecuniary and miscellaneous policies, engineering insurance, insurances of the person, liability insurance, marine hull and cargo transportation insurance, motor insurance, reinsurance and risk management and life insurance.
