The quarter-finals of the women’s KO were played last Sunday with St Venera, Birkirkara and Raiders joining Hibernians in the semi-finals.

St Venera beat Rabat Ajax 1-0 thanks to a Fiona Mangion goal on 35 minutes.

Birkirkara beat Mosta 1-0 with a 10th minute goal from Melanie Zammit.

In the final match, Raiders produced a surprise when they managed to beat the more quoted Melita, also 1-0.

Melita missed several chances and after being denied a blatant penalty by the official, Marcia Zammit beat Melita goalie Zammit for the winner.

The semi-finals will be played next Sunday with Hibs facing Birkirkara at 9am and St Venera meeting Raiders at 11am
