Yellow Fever innoculations

Malta Independent Sunday, 8 May 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

People who requested Yellow Fever innoculations last week, because they are due to visit African countries, were informed that this vaccine cannot be found anywhere in Malta.

To confirm this, the people involved checked with all the hospitals in Malta and discovered that no hospital has any stock of it.

They were also told, but had no means of checking the information, that the vaccine in question has been out of stock since 26 December.

These people are now asking whether all the stocks of Yellow Fever vaccine were sent to the tsunami areas and whether the people who went to help the tsunami victims in those early days were inoculated against Yellow Fever.
