MFA Extends Miller’s contract by three years

Malta Independent Saturday, 28 May 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

The national Under 21 coach Mark Miller has had his contract extended for another three years by the Malta Football Association.

He has had quite a successful run with the Under 21s and he will also be in charge of the team that will be taking part in next summer's Mediterranean Games in Almeria, Spain.

Earlier, Miller had been linked with Marsaxlokk although the latter's present coach Atanas Marinov has a deal which lasts till the end of next season.

The national women's team will again be taking part in the European qualifying group in 2005-2006.

They have been drawn in a group together with Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia.

Among some proposed amendments by the Executive Committee to several regulations which will come into force on 1 July, one finds that the MFA has finally removed the apparent anomaly in a clause which allowed players to be eligible to play for the Malta national team, but not for the club as a player of Maltese nationality.
