It is relaibaly understood that as from yetserday Birkirkara FC have terminated the present contract with their Nigerian striker Haruna Doda.

The 30-year old had been signed by Birkirkara in the 2003/2004 season and had a positive two-year spell with the Maltese Premier club

In the meantime, Birkirkara also confirmed that their other Nigerian player, holding Maltese citezenship, Chucks Nwoko is out of contract but no new deal as yet is in sight.

It is rumoured that some Premier clubs are showing interest in obtaining Nwoko’s services for the coming season. Champions Sliema Wanderers are among the favourites to capture his signature in the coming days.
