The May edition of the prestigious travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller included a 30-page dossier about the Maltese Islands penned by writer Gian Mario Marras.
The special feature was divided into three segments. The first segment dealt with the art and nature found in the Maltese archipelago.
The second highlighted Malta’s geographical, historical and cultural significance and the third section focused on Malta’s links with the Mediterranean Sea.
In addition, a nine-page, full-colour spread about Malta, entitled: Malta: Un Isola non Isolata (“An island which is not isolated”) was recently published in Qui Touring magazine.
This magazine, which is the official publication of the Touring Club Italiano,is distributed to the Club’s 500,000 members. The feature was accompanied by breathtaking photographs of the Maltese Islands.
Also in Italy, Il Venerdi della Republica recently published an article promoting Malta. The article, which was entitled Mete di Pasqua, was written by journalist Alessandra Podesta and it described 15 possible trips for Easter. Her section about Malta, entitled La passione per statue viventi (“the passion for living statues”) was accompanied by a large photograph depicting Our Lady of Sorrows.
A full-colour six-page article about Malta and Gozo also appeared in the Spanish magazine, Clara. The article, written by Pablo Cubi was entitled Ocio e Cultura (“leisure and culture”).
In the feature, Malta was described as the country in which various legends were born. The spread included several picturesque postcard-style photographs of the Islands, together with practical information for visitors.
The journalists who wrote these features were hosted in Malta by the Malta Tourism Authority, working in collaboration with Air Malta.
