Luke Dimech joins Chester

Malta’s international defender Luke Dimech has joined English Second Division club Chester City.

He was given a free release by Mansfield Town manager Carlton Palmer at the end of last season.

He now rejoins his former manager at Mansfield, Keith Curle, who has also recruited two other players from that club, David Artell and Tommy Curtis.

Dimech has signed a one-year deal

“As soon as I got the job they were players I identified and wanted to bring to the club,” said Curle.

“I know how the three of them play week in and week out and train week in and week out because I had them at Mansfield,” he said.
