I act for Architect Robert Sant with reference to the article under the heading “Plans submitted to MEPA by partner in minister’s office were false, court rules”. The article was carried on the front and second pages (TMIS, 17 July).

Mr Sant wishes to clarify the following points in terms of his right of reply under the Press Act.

1. Architect Lino Cachia is an associate of the firm and not a partner as erroneously described.

2. His office has acted correctly and according to law, and has not submitted any false document to the authorities. As the case is likely to be sub judice in the near future, Mr Sant prefers not to comment further. When members of his office are called to testify in the impending law suit, all the necessary facts and explanations will be given to the trial court.
