Hotel Investment helps improve tourist product

The opening of the Rhapsody Café, an additional food and beverage outlet for the guests of the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel, is an example of hotels investing in embellishment and extension projects, an initiative that works hand in hand with the government policy of improving Malta’s tourism product, said Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech at the opening of the outlet.

The café caters for those who want a quick snack in an elegant environment. It has different levels and extends to the outside of the hotel, thus enhancing the area in line with the Paceville embellishment project.

The Libyan Arab Maltese Holdings, shareholders of the Golden Tulip Vivaldi, are investing in improving standards and facilities of this hotel, with various projects in the pipeline – including a health and leisure centre – and increasing the number of rooms.

Minister Zammit Dimech explained that investment by hotel owners in embellishment and extension projects is in line with the government’s policy of improving Malta’s tourism product. “These not only improve the product but also contribute towards competitiveness,” he added.

The recently installed automated car park equipment has contributed positively to the car park problem in the Paceville area.
