MFA Spent Lm266,000 on national team last season

The MFA spent a staggering Lm266,000 on the national team, almost half of which (LM113,000) were travelling expenses, last season.

This became known during the presentation of the Audited Accounts and the Balance Sheet of the Association.

On the other hand, income from the national team amounted to only Lm17,000.

The Millennium Stand provided an income of Lm59,000 for the association, but the expenditure amounted to Lm56,500 before depreciation.

Income from the National Stadium, including gates Lm35,000, bar rental Lm18,000 and advertising Lm32,000, amounted to about Lm100,000 while expenditure amounted to Lm74,000, including Lm34,000 wages and Lm31,000 spent on maintenance.

The association’s operating income (before depreciation) amounted to Lm701,000, Lm36,000 more than the previous season.

The major sources of income were the international matches (Lm249,000) and the FIFA and UEFA refunds (Lm416,000), sponsors Lm20,000 and local matches Lm8,000.
